News 15 Sep 2010 Frontal implements MIS for Biomass Power Plant A power plant using biomass as fuel recently invested in an Manufacturing Information System to automatically gather process data from Siemens PCS7 DCS and perform analysis, benchmarking, reporting and SMS alerting. Frontal built and installed an MIS which communicates with the DCS, archives 1200 tags and performs the visualisation, reporting and alerting. The data is presented over the web through a secure portal, daily reports are emailed and exceptions are alerted through SMS. The future development will involve export of required data to ERP, simulation of process for optimisation and maintenance management. |
