News 1 May 2008 Kuwait lube oil manufacturer implements MES A lube oil manufacturer in Kuwait rolled out a custom MES for managing the blending operations in their plant. MES functions as a higher level system to control and monitor the production. MES controls creation of production orders, recipes, monitoring of blending steps, calculation and analysis of process parameters. Quantities of raw materials are automatically calculated and loaded based on the orders. MES integrates with a PLC, SCADA system in the plant to perform plant level control. Features include automatic recovery, support for redundant PLCs and automated reporting. Frontalsoft performed design, development, deployment and user training for the MES. |
