News 30 March 2009 Premium steel casting manufacturer implements MES A premium steel casting manufacturer catering to the oil & gas industry has partnered with Frontalsoft to successfully implement a manufacturing execution system for its 2 production plants in UAE. The MES executes order import, product routing, progress monitoring, quality management and reporting functions. MES interfaces to PLC, RFID and data concentrators at the plant for data collection. Analysis of stage-wise throughput, turnaround time and utilization are performed as it happens. Customers can access the system over the internet and view status of their orders and expected date of dispatch. The MES provides a seamless production workflow from order to dispatch enforcing quality checks, approvals for routing deviations and provides early warning alerts in case of abnormal production events.
