News 1 Jun 2009 Waste to energy plant in Qatar invests in MIS An integrated waste-to-energy plant in Qatar is implementing a Management information system to monitor in real-time the process parameters, power generation and equipment efficiency. This plant uses a cutting edge technology to generate energy from solid waste and is the first of its kind in Middle East and one of very few worldwide. The MIS collects information from the turbine, incinerator and utilities areas and performs long term archiving, key performance indicator calculation, exception alerting and reporting. Web based screens provide plant performance information over the internet. Visualization of archived data through third party operator control software is provided for easy analysis. Frontalsoft is developing and implementing the system due for commissioning in end 2009. |
