FoundryMIS – FM 1.0 It is the core of the IF suite and handles plant data archiving and analysis in real time. It enables centralized storage of data from all production stages. Programmed to perform KPI calculations for foundry processes, it alerts target personnel on productivity / performance .– based on factors like energy consumption, throughput, quality and scrap. FoundryTracker – FT 1.0 This module is designed to calculate material consumption and handle forward and backward genealogy. It supports integration of raw material types, final product types with features to compare with ERP material master. The composition of metal, the output molten metal of the furnace and castings are monitored against benchmarks and “golden batch” is highlighted. FoundryPlanner – FP 1.0 FoundryPlanner handles monitoring of orders, plant schedules, line schedules and stage schedules on various time scales. Progress of orders is monitored and updated into the schedules. Predictive scheduling automatically incorporates production constraints, equipment and material conditions for real-time view of production plans. Foundry Lab FL 1.0 A module to handle laboratory test data, validation and integration. It processes melt chemistry , sand test and final product results. Integration with instruments such as spectrometers, tensile tester, etc ensure fast, error-free input of test results into the system. Alerting and reporting based on test results can be performed automatically. Integration of test results into ERP Quality module is optional. FoundryReporter – FR 1.0 Built on Business Objects framework, FoundryReporter comes pre-configured with common reports for foundries covering performance of melting, sand preparation, molding, and pouring apart from mapping downtime, OEE, plan v actual, and so on. The reports contain charts, tables and trends with features to highlight abnormal values for easy decision making. With an intuitive drag and drop interface for designing reports, it provides easy customization. FoundryReporter automatically generates reports assigning priority levels based on plant data; also emails to recipients event based or time based alerts based on trigger condition. FoundryIntegrator FI 1.0 A module to integrate 3rd party software applications (like ERP, SCM,etc ) with other IF modules. It handles all communication issues like data reliability, security, format conversion and so on. Thus, SmartFoundry SF 1.0 suite is designed to address major concerns of a foundry.
